A shared game
Padel is primarily played in doubles, making communication and teamwork central to each rally. The smaller court brings players close enough to share tactics and encourages a social game, though competitive play can be physically demanding.
Rallies with a tactical twist
Glass rebounds create shot choices that are unfamiliar to many tennis beginners. A controlled lob or patient defensive return can be more useful than maximum power. Learning to use the walls gives players a new skill to explore.
Enjoyment is individual
Some newcomers enjoy the underarm serve and doubles format. Others need time to become comfortable with rebounds and positioning. Popularity does not mean everyone finds the sport easy, or that it is free of injury risk.
