Readiness is individual

Returning after shoulder injury depends on the cause, severity and your individual recovery. A fixed number of days does not establish readiness. Work with a clinician if symptoms persist or if the injury has affected strength, movement or confidence.

Rebuild the movements your game needs

Rebuild comfortable arm movement and strength before progressing racket work. Start with manageable strokes and introduce overhead shots gradually rather than beginning with repeated smashes.

Build back gradually

Start with manageable court sessions and progress duration, intensity and frequency thoughtfully. Check symptoms during play and the next day. Recurring pain, swelling or reduced function is a reason to reassess the plan, not a signal to ignore.
