Recover the basics

Allow time to settle after a match, drink according to your needs and conditions, and eat regular balanced meals. Sleep is an important part of recovery. There is no single supplement or recovery gadget that replaces these foundations.

Distinguish soreness from a warning sign

Unfamiliar activity may leave muscles sore. Sharp pain, significant swelling, loss of function or symptoms that keep worsening deserve attention. Avoid using another hard match as a test of whether an injury has disappeared.

Plan the next session

Consider the length and intensity of the match together with other training. Adjust the next session if you are not recovering well. Persistent symptoms warrant professional assessment rather than repeatedly cycling between pain and rest.
